WHY ONESIMUS?

 

Onesimus means "useful" or "profitable" and was the name of a man spoken of in the Bible in the book of Philemon.  Though his name had deep meaning and purpose, in reality Onesimus was a run away slave who had been locked up in jail. While in jail, with help from a mentor, his life was transformed and he was released back into society as a productive, useful citizen.
